DESIRAE YSASI, LPC-S
I attended the University of Texas at San Antonio, first earning a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and then a Master of Arts in Counseling. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor
(LPC) as well as a board-approved Supervisor for LPC-Interns, providing training and supervision for counselors in the process of completing licensure requirements. I have been licensed since 2006
and have worked in private practice since 2009.
I am a compassionate and energetic therapist whose primary goal is to help my clients maximize their potential in life. I understand that you want to feel better. Have fulfilling relationships. Be inspired. Live with passion and confidence. Utilizing insight-oriented therapy approaches, I assist clients in examining how their negative thought patterns have influenced their emotions and choices in life. By reframing these thought patterns, my clients report fewer anxious and depressive symptoms as well as increased stability and communication in their relationships. I will provide guidance and feedback designed to both challenge and motivate you to create change in your life.
My primary areas of focus are: relationship counseling, maternal mental health and therapy for therapists/helping professionals. I am also skilled in helping men and women resolve a variety of
lifestyle issues such as: improving work/life balance, coping with daily stressors, navigating parenting struggles, building self-esteem through self-compassion, and eliminating toxic relationships.
You can learn more about my specialties by clicking on the links at the top of this page.
